ScreenshotEmails

Privacy
Policy.

ScreenshotEmails is designed to keep the core tool private and simple: your email files and pasted HTML are processed in your browser, and ScreenshotEmails does not store your email content.

Last updated: May 14, 2026
Plain-English summary: You can upload or paste HTML/EML email content to generate previews and exports. That email content is handled locally in your browser. We use limited third-party services for analytics, ads measurement, hosting, image rendering support, and the contact form.

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how ScreenshotEmails handles information when you visit the website, use the email screenshot tool, export screenshots, or contact us.

By using ScreenshotEmails, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Email Content, Uploaded Files, and Pasted HTML

ScreenshotEmails is built so that the main tool processes your uploaded HTML files, EML files, and pasted email code directly in your browser.

  • Your email files are not intentionally uploaded to or stored on ScreenshotEmails servers.
  • We do not create accounts or user profiles for the tool.
  • We do not sell your email content.
  • We do not use your email content to train artificial intelligence models.
  • No signup is required to use the tool.

You should still avoid uploading or pasting highly sensitive information into any online tool unless you are comfortable doing so.

3. Local Browser Processing

When you preview an email, ScreenshotEmails renders the content in your browser so you can review desktop and mobile layouts. Export generation, such as creating PNG, PDF, or HTML output, is also primarily handled client-side in your browser.

Because browsers load web content, emails may still reference external images, fonts, tracking pixels, or other resources controlled by third parties.

4. External Images, Fonts, Links, and Email Resources

Some emails include externally hosted images, fonts, links, tracking pixels, or other resources. When previewing or exporting an email, your browser may request those resources from their original host.

Those external providers may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser information, and the requested resource URL. ScreenshotEmails does not control the privacy practices of third-party resources included inside email content.

5. Image Proxying for Export Rendering

Some externally hosted email images may be routed through a restricted image proxy so they can render correctly during screenshot export.

  • The proxy is intended only for public image URLs needed for rendering.
  • The proxy should not be used for private, internal, or sensitive URLs.
  • We do not intentionally retain proxied image content after processing.
  • Proxy requests may generate temporary technical logs for security, abuse prevention, debugging, or hosting operations.

6. Analytics, Advertising, and Usage Data

ScreenshotEmails uses Google Analytics and Google Ads to understand general site usage, measure performance, improve the product, and evaluate marketing effectiveness.

These services may collect information such as:

  • Pages viewed
  • Approximate location based on IP address
  • Device, browser, and operating system information
  • Referral source or campaign information
  • Interactions with pages or buttons

We do not intentionally send your uploaded email files, pasted HTML, or email screenshot contents to analytics or advertising services.

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Google Analytics, Google Ads, and other browser technologies may use cookies, local storage, pixels, or similar tools for measurement, security, and performance.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect analytics, ad measurement, or some website functionality.

8. Contact Form Submissions

If you contact us through the contact form, the information you submit may be processed by a third-party form provider. This may include your name, email address, message, timestamp, browser information, and spam-prevention metadata.

Contact form submissions are used to respond to your message, provide support, review feedback, and improve ScreenshotEmails.

9. Hosting, Security, and Technical Logs

ScreenshotEmails is hosted using third-party infrastructure providers. These providers may process technical information required to serve the site, protect the service, and troubleshoot issues.

Technical logs may include information such as IP address, user agent, timestamps, requested URLs, error logs, and security events.

10. Third-Party Services

ScreenshotEmails may use third-party services for hosting, analytics, advertising measurement, form handling, image proxying, fonts, and content delivery.

These third-party services have their own privacy policies and may process data according to their own terms.

11. Data Retention

ScreenshotEmails does not intentionally store uploaded email files or pasted email content. Analytics, advertising, form submissions, hosting logs, and security logs may be retained by us or our service providers for varying periods depending on operational, security, legal, and business needs.

12. Data Sharing

We do not sell your uploaded email content. We may share limited data with service providers that help operate the website, process contact form submissions, analyze usage, measure advertising, host the site, or protect against abuse.

We may also disclose information if required by law, legal process, security needs, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of ScreenshotEmails and its users.

13. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the website and reduce unnecessary data exposure. These include HTTPS, browser-based processing for email content, and restrictions around image proxying.

No website or browser-based tool can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for reviewing the sensitivity of any content you choose to upload, paste, preview, or export.

14. Children’s Privacy

ScreenshotEmails is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

15. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have privacy rights regarding personal information processed through analytics, cookies, contact form submissions, or technical logs.

These rights may include the ability to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of certain personal information. Because uploaded email files and pasted HTML are not intentionally stored by ScreenshotEmails, there is typically no uploaded email content for us to retrieve or delete.

16. International Users

ScreenshotEmails may be operated from and use service providers located in the United States or other countries. By using the site, you understand that information processed by third-party providers may be transferred to or processed in countries outside your location.

17. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
